EVERLASTING BONDS

C:\Users\asus\Downloads\Passport pic (1).jpgI never knew how an everlasting bond would be like until I entered Maris Stella College for my Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. It is because of the best lecturers who taught me, a clean environment, a library with a huge collection of knowledgeable books and what not. The bond between my lecturers and me is very strong just like two friends sharing everything. This gave me a great opportunity to develop my communication skills and build up my career.
After my I Semester exams I got a wonderful opportunity to do an internship at THE HINDU as an internee reporter for a month. HINDU taught me many things during my internship and brought the best out of me by the end of the internship. It gave a feel of a family.
My subject journalism is so creative that we can explore every day new dimensions in it. It exudes interest towards the subject and we can get updated with the latest trends. Once you step into journalism you start finding the NEW YOU every day just like I found myself.
In the beginning of the course, I was the only one who spoke nothing in the class due to my poor communication skills. But as the days passed by I started speaking in front of everyone with self-confidence. This is because of my lecturers who encouraged me to overcome my weaknesses. They are the ones who supported me and made me into a courageous woman. To me, the word THANK YOU  is just a small word to say to them because of what they have done to me. I wish our bonds continue the same forever.

FROM AN ALUMNA WITH LOVE

My priceless experience in Maris Stella College had come with many changes and challenges. These changes included either food in the hostel/canteen, my study habits, my time management skills, my behavior, and much more. Maris Stella College campus provided me opportunities to become a part of a unique, diversified community. Firstly I humbly thank the college especially the English department for nurturing and grooming me with such a care, I feel proud to share that today I am standing on a platform where I am eligible to pursue my Ph. D. I was always concerned to spend my academic life in the green and clean atmosphere. I believe I was fortunate enough to enter into an eco-friendly campus. The major thing I appreciate is the concern about the safety of the students through their acceptance to the anti-ragging system. The institution that makes its priority value of discipline and value-based education is what most parents look for while making a choice of a college.
My intellectual lecturers were very supportive and enthusiastic which was evident through their mentoring classes. The college provides a grievance cell in order to strengthen the students emotionally and mentally. Besides education, I have also indulged in extra co-curricular activities, participating in various competitions, both indoors and outdoors, which has placed me to have more exposure to the external scenario. I and other students were highly motivated and encouraged through victory medals, awards, proficiency prizes and participation certificates. I experienced my golden period enjoying the facility of hostel, library, indoor stadium sports, celebrations, and fetes.
Today I can give talks in front of lacks of people, without any kind of phobia or stage fear, because I had interactive classes with seminars and presentations, attended national and international conferences outdoors, which helped me showcase my skills. All these activities intensified me to think out of the box. Stepping out of Maris Stella College has brightened and shaped my personality today. This college has gifted me a chance to sharpen my skills in my field of choice; it has been my most memorable and valuable experience. Maris Stella College is a family to me.

MARIS STELLA COLLEGE – A PLACE FOR OPPORTUNITIES AND TRANSFORMATION

First of all, I thank Almighty God for placing  me in this College which helped me  to transform myself and to face challenges ahead through various opportunities provided by the college, for my development.
I had pursued my graduation here with BA (HEP) group in 2013-16 batch.  Coming to Academics, we had senior faculty for all subjects, who helped me a lot for gaining an overall percentage of  87% (approx). And had received “Prathiba Award” from Govt. of AP in 2016. And also received a gold medal in our college for academics.
The role of my college and faculty was immense in achieving it.
I had a great opportunity to meet students from various places in our country with various cultural settings and attitudes. This helped me a lot when I had stayed in  Delhi for Civils coaching. Our college helped me to overcome the fear of meeting new people and to get mingle with them.
My communication skills had improved a lot compared to my intermediate. Particularly, my spoken English used to be very poor before coming to this college. But after completion of my graduation, I have found that it was very much better than earlier. I thank our faculty for using English as a medium of our communication.
With the encouragement of our faculty, I was able to explore the competing abilities in me to participate in various competitions. I had participated in many competitions conducted within and outside our college. I had won in various competitions like Elocution, debating, drawing, group discussions, paper presentations, quiz, theme-based skits, and NCC competitions. I thank this college for providing me such opportunities to participate in them.
My desire to be an NCC cadet had been fulfilled through this College. I  had won a gold medal in IVC camp NCC camp Secunderabad and got selected (one among 12 cadets selected from AP &Telangana) for AIVSC camp (most prestigious camp in Air wing ). I was able to accomplish this with the support of our college.
The  faculty and management stood as role models for the values, they preach. I have learned discipline, dedication, stewardship, dutifulness, sincerity and so on …
Library of this college is the greatest treasure for students. It helped me to widen my knowledge horizons.
This college stood for equality and unity of all the students. Our college was free from any divisions and biases. We have imbibed the same quality in our life too.
Our college environment and nature used to be very amazing. It used to be stress-free and student-friendly  environment. I love my campus a lot for that reason.
Our Hostel wardens inculcated the quality of cleanliness among us. I had a great time in the hostel too.
Altogether my journey for three years in this college was really admirable for all the above reasons.
It made me more confident than earlier and prepared me to face challenges that come ahead in my life.

Greetings everyone,

724005_photo.jpgProud to be a Stellite, the passion for research in science made me choose Stella than other competitive mind colleges - the best reason is the massive library having a wide range of books made me gain so much of knowledge regarding research. Best science departments according to me are Botany, Biotechnology, Chemistry - that expected us to devote the same amount of time to other additional certificate courses as well. Stella garden creates the best in the person which I have personally experienced. Values like respect, obedience, creativity, self-motivation, building confidence are all the great assets that I could carry with me for a lifetime. I'm currently working in PRATHISTA INDUSTRIES in the Research and Development department.

MY SWEET MEMORIES OF STELLA

I received my Bachelor’s degree from Maris Stella College and have been a proud Stellite ever since.  While my initial intent was there to get a degree and education, it actually transformed into much more than that. The five years I spent there (for my Intermediate and Bachelor’s degree) not only helped my career development, but also character development. After leaving Maris Stella, I went on to get my Master’s degree (MBA) and Ph.D. at other institutions in India. I now work at a University in the United States. Throughout my association with these other educational institutions, the one thing that I always recognize is the academic rigor, the quality of teaching, the dedication of management towards the noble cause of education, the opportunities for all-round development of students and enrichment of student life. I can attest, without a doubt, that the fulfillment of my career goals and my personality development are a result of the strong foundation and education I received at Maris Stella. Thanks to the many co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, my entire student life experience there has been a very positive and memorable one.

COLLEGE LIFE - A MEMORABLE ONE!

College days are something that you really cherish. It is the place which transforms you into a wholesome human being. I believe that without memories there is no life. The name Maris Stella is enough to make all my good memories stand in front of me. My experience with our college was that of wonderful balance between knowledge, skills, fun, and friendship. And no ragging. It's strictly banned in our campus. One of the biggest merits of our college is an environment which makes it easy for a student to learn and inculcate the spirit to stand out amongst the talented and hard-working students. Faculty imparts the quality education to the students who would never find themselves lost in a concept. They also encourage students to take part in different intercollegiate events and competitions.

What amazes me is the plethora of extra-curricular activities that the institute offers. It generates enthusiasm for every student to explore his talents and pursue excellence. This enhances the life skills in students who can't be taught through academics.

Our college encourages its students to take up live projects and internship opportunities which would really help to land in the right job. The infrastructure of our college speaks for itself. Our library is outstanding and provides the students with a wide array of books, research papers, journals, and periodicals.  All in all, our college provides every student with the knowledge and skills they need for life to be successful.

COLLEGE ADDED FEATHERS TO MY CAP

After the first guiding resource that is parents and family, college is the second important boosting factor in shaping students’ personality and their lives. It has helped in developing my educational, moral, social and personal outlook and approach to the world. Maris Stella College has inspired and encouraged throughout to handle the difficult situations of my life and to take the right decisions to the moment. The lecturers and professors nurtured and polished me through their in-depth knowledge and instilled in me confidence. I continued my academic journey to do Master’s and Doctoral studies with the impetus I got from Maris Stella College. Today, I am working as a successful English Language Instructor at the University of Jeddah. It is the fruitful result of being a part of Maris Stella College. The constant support and cooperation from my teachers and peers played an important role in the transformation of me, from being a student to a teacher. They stood in front of me as my ideal and a true role model which made a strong contribution to my success today. I am thankful and feel proud of being a privileged one to have an opportunity to study at Maris Stella College.

THANKS TO OUR STELLA FAMILY

The five years in Maris Stella were my happiest moments, loaded with fun and participation in diverse events of the college. Having chosen a field that demands extreme challenges, I realize what a protected environment college was. However, the subjects I chose in Maris Stella including the so-called extra-curricular activities like NSS was most relevant to my area of work. It was for the first time that I got a glimpse into rural life when I participated in the NSS camps. They helped shape my own political perspectives on social development and human rights. My main subject, English Literature was what I enjoyed thoroughly thanks to our Stella family with whom our journey into the world of language and literature stands vivid and vibrant to this day. Articulation and presentation in the English language that I learned at college helped immensely in my social work practice with academic and non-academic writing that is so critical to the representation of social dynamics, particularly in representing the voices of the marginalized to the larger public.
